Laser Scanning at Owens Thomas House
The Owens-Thomas House laser scanning project commenced with a visit to the lower level of the house. Telfair Museums Curator of History and Decorative Arts, Shannon Browning-Mullis, is in charge of the reinterpreting of the OTH's basement space. Shannon gave us a tour of the space, and elaborated upon ideas to reinterpret the space for the museum's many visitors.We will perform a complete recordation of the space using the phase-based Faro Focus 3D laser scanner for multiple scans, or point captures, that will be layered and registered to yield an accurate 3D depiction of the basement of the Owens Thomas House.
